Lost & Found

An event or personal experience, often identified as coincidence, so astonishing that it is seen as a sign of divine intervention, especially when perceived as the answer to a prayer.

We’ve all heard those stories of loved ones sending messages after they pass away. These are incidents that can’t be explained. There is no scientific explanation.

I have a Godwink story I’d like to share with you.

My dad always wore a Saint Christopher medal around his neck for as long as I can remember. When my sister was little, my dad would give her his chain to wear to keep her safe until he returned from his business trips. This was a ritual they did while she was a little girl.

Many years later, when my dad was having hip surgery, his necklace couldn’t be found. I remember he had to take it off for the operation. However, somewhere along the way it got lost.

Once my dad recovered from hip surgery, eight weeks later my parents went to New York. My mom suggested they go to Saint Patricks Cathedral to replace the lost medal. Not only did they go to the gold district to replace the chain, my mother insisted they go back to Saint Patricks Cathedral to get the necklace blessed.

The interesting thing was, once the priest blessed the medal, he told my mom that she would need an extra blessing. Little did we know all the things that would be ahead.

Fast forward two years, the night my dad passed away, he was wearing the new necklace. This necklace had a special meaning to my sister and I. So, now the issue was, who gets the necklace? My mom suggested splitting it in half. One of us would get the chain, the other would get the medal. But that wasn't going to work for us! It was all or nothing.

A couple of days later, my sister went to the cleaners to pick up my dads tuxedo shirt to take to the funeral home. The person at the cleaners handed my sister an envelope and said, “This was in one of the pockets.” When she opened it, it was the original chain and metal that had been lost! We checked the clothes and there were no pockets. Not to mention, we’ve been going to that cleaners for fourteen years.

Now, we both have our necklaces, which I wear every single day!

We shared this story with our pastor and he said there will be signs of divine intervention. We are not able to explain how these things happen but I truly believe its messages from the spiritual world.

We even experienced familiar scents. For instance, we would smell my dads cologne around the house.

Our dog would even jump up and run to the stairway and start barking during the time my dad would normally walk up the stairs to go to bed.

Even when I graduated college, I felt someone pushing my back. When I turned around, there was no one there.

Have you experienced a God wink?

Pay attention to these signs. At the time, we need these messages to comfort ourselves.
