The Importance Of A First Responder During Loss
In a time of crisis, we all need a first responder.
When we hear of a first responder, we think of 911. Someone trained to respond to an emergency, assess the situation, check vitals and help with the next step.
But what about a first responder when facing loss?
This can be a friend, family member, colleague or someone who has gone through a similar experience.
This is the person who will help guide you through the process. They know what is ahead of you because they have been there themselves.
They will call you, check up on you, give you a hug, and most importantly, listen!
A first responder is someone who shows you that they care and will be there for support. In these days ahead, it's hard to get out of bed and just deal with the daily functions of life. They help us by simply showing up and encouraging us to never give up!
